Sara Lee Carrot Tray Slab Cake is a 2.25kg frozen large, flat, single-layer rish and moist carrot cake made with shredded carrot, pineapple, eggs and wheat flour topped with a rich and smooth cream cheese icing (made using Neufchatel cheese) and finished with a scattering of chopped walnut pieces. It provides 32 generous portions per cake, or up to 72 bite-sized pieces, and can be cut while frozen so only the required portions need to be thawed for service.

Serving Instructions

While frozen, remove plastic wrap and cut into required portions using a sharp knife dipped in hot water. Cover and return unused frozen portions to the freezer immediately. Thaw each slice in the refrigerator (at less than 5°C) for approx. 30 minutes before serving.
