Bakels All-In Sponge Cake Mix 15kg

The Bakels All-In Sponge Mix is an all-in base for making sponge cakes, Swiss Rolls and lamingtons requiring only the addition of water to create a sponge cake with excellent volume, fine crumb and golden tops.

Makes two 20cm round cakes, 7.5cm high

Ingredients

• 1kg Bakels All in One Sponge Mix
• 660ml water

Instructions

1. Add the Bakels All-In Sponge mix and water to a large mixing bowl.
2. Mix on low speed for about 1 minute, ensuring the ingredients are well combined, and scrape down the sides of the bowl.
3. Increase the speed to high and whisk for 6-8 minutes, until the mixture has doubled in size and is smooth.
4. Reduce the speed to medium and mix for an additional 2 minutes.
5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pans.
6. Bake at 190°C until fully cooked through.

• Avoid overbaking; baking at a lower temperature for a longer time can help prevent this.
• Baking times will vary depending on the size of the pans and the type of oven, so monitor closely.
• Always grease and line your cake pans with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
